Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus, varicella, and re-infection in an adult is often known as shingles. If you get chickenpox as a child, the virus will travel frequently to the root ganglia of certain nerve cells and suspended, sometimes for a lifetime. About 20% of adults have herpes outbreaks later in life, usually with age. Some causes are immunosuppressed reoccurrance (whether due to age, stress, depression or other disorders), or chemotherapy. It is very difficult for ever, and that's just the whole night, instead of dYing complete.
